The Brazilian-born Baccarin, age thirty-three, was until recently — and maybe still is — best known for her role on the short-lived 2009 ABC series V, on which she played the doe-eyed, pixie-cut alien queen with an excellent Q rating. And removable skin. It's her iconic role to date, save perhaps her part on the culty Firefly, which turned the heads of a thousand, thousand fanboys. "It's a coincidence," she says of starring in two major science-fiction projects. "I really look for strong female characters, or weak female characters, for that matter — something defined, tucked inside a great story. Reading V gave me straight-out goosebumps. You know, not knowing who your neighbors are, discovering that you live in an occupied state. Firefly I grabbed. We all thought it would last."

"These are two people who thought they had no chance to ever have a real love affair and they found each other and there's something fantastic and mind-blowing about that." -- Alan Ball
The video above, titled "Game Of Fucks: 126 Reasons Why Game Of Thrones Would Never Work On Basic Cable" splices together every profanity uttered in "Game Of Thrones" first two seasons in rapid-fire fashion, and the result is extremely entertaining. As you might imagine, there are plenty of "bastards" (not just directed at Jon Snow), "whores," c-words and pretty much everything in between.

Anne Hathaway and Taram Killam parody Homeland on Saturday Night Live
Someone at SNL really likes Homeland (don’t we all?) Last week, in their hurricane press-conference sketch, Mayor Michael Bloomberg explained to Spanish-speaking New Yorkers that white people were cranky because they were missing Homeland.
This week, Anne Hathaway was at the center of a sketch that perfectly captured the actors’ quirks, with Hathaway recreating Claire Danes’ constantly quivering chin and Taram Killam capturing Damian Lewis’ teeny tiny mouth. And when you think about it, as Saul (Bill Hader) says about Carrie, why wouldn’t you trust a CIA agent who swills wine while popping pills, and is sexually obsessed with her source?

The Gashlycrumb Tinies: or, After the Outing is an abecedarian book written by Edward Gorey that was first published in 1963. Gorey tells the tale of 26 children (each representing a letter of the alphabet) and their untimely deaths in rhyming dactylic couplets, accompanied by the author's distinctive black and white illustrations. It is one of Edward Gorey's best-known books, and is the most notorious amongst his roughly half-dozen mock alphabets. It has been described as a "sarcastic rebellion against a view of childhood that is sunny, idyllic, and instructive". The morbid humor of the book comes in part from the mundane ways in which children die, such as falling down the stairs or choking on a peach. Far from illustrating the dramatic and fantastical childhood nightmares, these scenarios instead poke fun at the banal paranoias that come as a part of parenting

Stephen Colbert is once again testing the lengths of how far a comedian can go by officially investigating a run for President -- or at least a run for President during the South Carolina primary. After Public Policy Polling revealed that the "Colbert Report" host was ahead of GOP candidate Jon Huntsman in South Carolina, Colbert pondered on Wednesday if he should consider a run for President. After explaining that he would have to go home and "talk it over with his money," Colbert teased a big announcement on Thursday night's episode. And indeed, there was. But first things first. Colbert runs his own Super PAC, and that's a big conflict of interest for Presidential candidates. Enter Colbert's personal lawyer Trevor Potter to explain the awfully convenient ways around that problem. All the potential candidate needs is for someone to take over the fundraising organization for him. And who better than Jon Stewart?
Terry Gilliam's 'Christmas Card' 1968 Animation Brings Vintage Cards To Life (VIDEO):
In his famous Christmas Card animation, screenwriter, director and animator Terry Gilliam brings a collection of vintage holiday cards to life, with characters involved in a cohesive, nontraditional storyline that ends with the season's most notorious commercial figure: Santa.
His creation was featured on a British television series called "Do Not Adjust Your Set" in 1968, according to io9.
Gilliam went to the Tate Gallery, sorted through various Victorian Christmas cards and essentially played around with them until he had his finished product, according to The Open Culture blog.
Gilliam's imagination will likely give you a fresh take on those conventional cards plastered with the same, stereotypical holiday greeting. If it doesn't do that, at least it'll entertain you.
